The Global Ovarian Cancer Research Consortium, formed in 2024, unites leading research organizations worldwide. By combining resources and data, they aim to accelerate progress in a disease that has seen limited improvement for far too long.

Ovarian Cancer Canada, a founding member of the Consortium, is dedicated to uncovering key discoveries that can transform the lives of women diagnosed with ovarian and other gynecologic cancers.

"Improved outcomes are within reach," they assert. "With research and support, we can finally bring hope to those facing these diseases."

The statistics speak for themselves: while breast cancer survival rates in Canada are at 88% over five years, ovarian cancer lags far behind at just 44%. Globally, the number of diagnoses and deaths from ovarian cancer is predicted to rise significantly by 2050.
